Aging Together. Voices Across Time is a project by EUNIC China and local Chinese partners.



EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture – is Europe’s network of national cultural institutes and organisations, with 39 members from all EU Member States and associate countries.



EUNIC Cluster China creates spaces for exchange and open dialogue.



The following Members of the EUNIC Cluster China have actively supported this project: Austrian Cultural Forum, Danish Cultural Institute, Embassy of Finland, Goethe Institut, Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Embassy of the Netherlands, Polish Institute, Romanian Cultural Institute, Wallonie-Bruxelles International.








Description of the Call



EUNIC China Cluster is pleased to announce the winning of the EUNIC Cluster Fund Call for 2025 for the project Aging Together. Voices Across Time. This project aims to promote intergenerational dialogue between young people and elders through cultural and artistic forms, as well as promoting exchange among the beneficiaries, the local partners and EU institutions.



For this project EUNIC China Cluster is looking for a Team comprising one project manager and one to three curators to develop and coordinate a unique artistic project under the theme Voices Across Time. Possible focal points of this edition can be (but not limited to) original curatorial content in the fields of photography, theatre and visual arts.



The selected awardees will be given the opportunity to shape the project’s vision in collaboration with EUNIC Cluster China Member States and curate a cultural project by engaging with communities in China.

Project overview



The project will be implemented from the second-half of 2025, with a focus on using art as the medium to bridge generational dialogue and celebrate shared experiences. The Team will work closely with EUNIC Cluster China Member States, partner institutions, Chinese elders, as well as European and local artists, with the objective of creating meaningful cultural expressions and social impact.

Key Responsibilities



The Team (Project Manager and Curator/s) will play a central role in the coordination, implementation and management of the Voices Across Time overall project. Your responsibilities will include:



1.    Content development: present a compelling project proposal – that addresses both the organizational framework and cultural content – to EUNIC Cluster China Member States for approval. 



2.    Project coordination (for project manager): oversee all phases of planning, execution and delivery of the project. Ensure that it stays on schedule and within the allocated budget.



3.    Curation and artistic supervision (for curator/s): ensure the coherence and quality of the cultural content presented; facilitate smooth coordination among participating artists and deliver the exhibition or performance in alignment with the approved timeline.



4.    Dissemination on social media: Promote the project across both Chinese and Western social media platforms by writing articles and providing pictures and a final video.



5.    Reporting: monitor project progress, collect feedback and report results to EUNIC Cluster China Member States.



6.    Stakeholder engagement: maintain relationships with local partners (both cultural organizations and care facilities) and other stakeholders involved in this project.












Qualifications:


Eligibility



We welcome applications from both EU and Chinese project managers and curators.



Priority will be given to an intercultural team with a background in EU funded cultural projects. Experience in intergenerational or community-based projects in China is highly desirable.



English is required as the main working language.

Benefit:


Budget



A dedicated budget of € 30,000 will be provided for the project, covering management and curatorial fees, artists and experts’ fees and production expenses.



Budget is allocated as follow:



1.    Fees for Project Manager (including travel and accommodation)



2.    Fees for Curator/s (including travel and accommodation)



3.    Artists and experts’ fees (including travel and accommodation)



4.    Production expenses
