At sandwich Cultural Center, we engage in the personal development of adults, adolescents and children through a variety of cultural and artistic forms. To promote projects of creative multicultural expression in the fields of content creation, global society, etc. Such as reading, writing, design, art, drama and so on.


Job Details:

Responsibilities:

1.Deliver high-quality and engaging workshops to students ages 6-12. Workshop will range from 2 to 3 hours per session. Workshop groups will have 8 students max. Workshop will be delivered on a regular schedule, ranging from 12 to 15 weeks.



2.Coach students in the library, encouraging them to maintain a good reading habit.



3.Use Project-Based Learning to help students complete projects.



4.Mark journals and assignments with constructive feedback.



5.Monitor student progress over the course of the workshop and communicate any suggestions or concerns about students.



6.Design & pitch new classes that connects with your passions and our student’s educational goals.



7.Collaborate with other teachers and staff to craft new, exciting teaching methods and approaches to student learning.



8.Staying current and reading books that are relevant to literature and writing instruction.



9.Meet with Reading Consultants regularly to discuss students.



10.Attend weekly meetings with Head Teachers



11.Attend at least two teacher development training sessions


Qualifications:

1.Four-year undergraduate degree ( or higher) and at least two years post-graduation work experience.

2.TESOL/TEFL certificate is a plus, not necessary.

3.Teaching License is a plus

4.Warm personality paired with a collaborative attitude.

5.A passion for teaching students and helping others grow.

6.A love for stories and storytelling

7.A clear English-speaking voice, without minimal accent.

8.Prior teaching experience preferred.

9.You are able to work during times that our students are available. 10.Typically Wednesday to Sunday

11.Able to teach 20-25 contact hours per week.

12.Eligible to work and live in Mainland China.
