High School Science Teacher - March 2026

Responsibilities:

Position: General Science Teacher

- Location: Shanghai, China

- Student Age: 13-15 (US G8-9)

- Teaching Hours: 20*45-minute classes per week

- Curricula: US Common Core

- Class Size (Common Core): 24 students

- Start Date: August 2026

Qualifications:

- Native speaker of English or to have obtained a university degree in which the instructional language was English.

- Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a relevant field.

- Two or more years of high school Science teaching experience

- Teaching License/Qualification (e.g. US Teaching Certification, UK QTS, etc.)

- Certificate of non-criminal record

- Must provide two references (both phone number & institutional email address)

- Must be able to lead a student-centered, project-based curriculum of inquiry and reflection.

- (Preferred) Experience teaching in AP Physics, Biology, Chemistry, or Environmental Science

- (Preferred) Master’s degree in Education or in a field relevant to this discipline.

Benefit:

- Total renumeration for the first contracted year: 288,000-384,000 RMB per annum (equivalent to 24,000-32000 per month) before tax, inclusive of housing allowance.
