About the Role:
Athena Security Inc is seeking a skilled Hardware & Systems Integration Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in building, configuring, and integrating advanced hardware systems—particularly x-ray baggage scanners and related embedded technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with both hardware engineering and software configuration, bridging the gap between physical assembly and digital setup.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble, configure, and kit x-ray baggage scanners and related systems, ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software components.
• Install, test, and maintain hardware components within complex systems, ensuring reliability and compliance with quality standards.
• Configure and troubleshoot software systems across multiple platforms, including Windows and Linux environments.
• Set up and maintain PiKVMs and other remote management tools for system monitoring and configuration.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to ensure optimal system performance and interoperability.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, performing system-level debugging and optimization.
• Maintain accurate documentation for builds, configurations, and deployment processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–4 years of professional experience in hardware assembly, integration, or system configuration.
• Strong understanding of Linux (command-line operations, networking, and driver configuration).
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and related configuration tools.
• Experience with hardware diagnostics, firmware setup, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PiKVM setup, BIOS configuration, and remote management protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, technical environments.
Qualifications:
Preferred Skills
• Experience with industrial or security system integration (e.g., x-ray or imaging equipment).
• Knowledge of networking protocols and system connectivity.
• Experience in field deployment or on-site installation of technical systems.
