Job Profile:

The AMS Montessori Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for leading a Montessori classroom environment that supports children’s independence, confidence, and love of learning. You will prepare and maintain a purposeful Montessori classroom, guide students through individualized learning, and build strong partnerships with parents and colleagues. This role may include participating in school events, parent communication, and ongoing professional development within the group.

Lead a Montessori kindergarten classroom following AMS Montessori principles and best practices

Prepare and maintain a safe, orderly, and engaging Montessori learning environment

Observe, guide, and support children’s development through individualized learning plans and records

Deliver Montessori lessons and activities aligned with children’s developmental stages

Support children’s social-emotional growth, independence, and positive behavior habits

Communicate regularly with parents, including progress updates, meetings, and conferences

Collaborate with co-teachers and school leadership to plan classroom routines and events

Participate in staff training, school activities, and continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and compliance with school policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)

AMS Montessori Certification (preferred) or equivalent Montessori training (AMI accepted)

Minimum 2 years of kindergarten / early years teaching experience (Montessori experience preferred)

Strong understanding of child development and classroom management in early years settings

Confident communication skills with parents and colleagues in a multicultural environment
