Job Profile:

Job Summary:

This person will create an efficient and scalable process for the DocParser team to manage scaling services to more file types and better handle partner requests. They will focus on distilling and prioritizing requirements, creating clear delivery plans, and assessing the impact of prioritized features. This role involves close collaboration with the engineering team.



Team Background:

Microsoft DocParser Team is part of the Document Understanding (DU) project, dedicated to building intelligent document processing capabilities. The team develops services to parse, extract, and understand structured/unstructured document data (e.g., PDFs, Word, scanned images) using AI/ML technologies.

Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities of the Team:

Expand file type support: Continuously increase supported document formats.

Improve extraction accuracy: Optimize AI models to better understand tables, forms, and natural language text.

Partner integration: Support integrations with Microsoft products (e.g., M365, Dynamics, Power Platform) and external solutions.

Security & compliance: Ensure adherence to Microsoft’s standards for security, privacy, and compliance.

Scalability & performance: Build enterprise-grade infrastructure for large-scale workloads.



Key Responsibilities:

Deeply understand the DU domain and drive DocParser deliverables, while supporting other high-priority business needs.

Prioritize requirements based on customer satisfaction (DSAT) analysis and feedback from product teams.

Align with partners/clients to meet security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Create delivery plans for prioritized features, anticipate risks, and make trade-offs.

Define metrics to evaluate impact and guide release decisions (e.g., go/no-go).

Work independently while escalating critical issues to leadership.

Align with global strategies and implement China-US integrated team practices.

Build trust with local and global engineering teams.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (Master’s preferred).

Experience:

5+ years in product management, preferably with a technical/software development background.

Preferred Skills:



Product-focused: Ability to translate customer/partner needs into product functionalities.

Domain expertise: Knowledge of data-related products (e.g., search, Copilot, content understanding/enrichment).

Technical fit: Experience in back/mid-cloud, data infra/platform products.

Additional Notes:



The candidate should exhibit ownership, proactiveness, and leadership (not just passive execution).

Fluency in English and Chinese is required for cross-region collaboration.
