This position mainly focuses on supporting the TSE (Territory Sales Engineer) with their deployment requirements, including pre-sales when needed. Guided by product documentation, the individual will be responsible for installing and commissioning Sensor / ID reader / In - Sight Camera systems. The Applications Engineer team offers technical expertise and support to the FSE to ensure the effective completion of tasks.

Responsibilities:
1. Concentrate on the ID reader, smart camera products (with vision software as an optional product), providing remote or on-site support for deployment to achieve the intended functions and technical requirements.
2. Offer support to identify and resolve issues of on-site deployed ID / vision systems and promptly describe and escalate issues that can't be solved.
3. Troubleshoot product issues, document them for escalation, and assist in resolving them, with support from the AE team as required.
4. Test product functions and investigate application feasibility in the lab.
5. Create summary documents of product usage methods and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for required applications.
6. Respond to product - related questions from TSE and customers.
7. Train the internal team and customers on product usage and deployment.
8. Acquire and learn expertise in integrating Cognex products with devices like PLCs, PCs, or Controllers from the AE team.
9. Keep project information in Salesforce up-to-date and inform the AEM / SE team of key details directly and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
1. More than two years of on-site work experience in automation, with a bachelor's degree in computer technology, automation, electrical engineering, etc. Experience with vision or ID reader products is preferred.
2. Possess a good work attitude, be proactive, and willing to communicate with others.
3. Have clear logical thinking, strong hands-on and on-site problem-solving abilities.
4. Show a strong willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve personal capabilities.
5. Have good communication and coordination skills, team spirit, a high sense of responsibility, and a customer - first service.
6. Self-motivated and quick - learning skills.
7. Willing to undertake frequent travel to the site.
