Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) is a major internationalized university in South China for its global-minded faculty/students and its research on international languages, literature, culture, trade and strategic studies. The University serves nearly 20,000 full-time undergraduate students, nearly 5,000 graduate students and over 30,000 international and continuing-education students. The University has 22 faculties offering 67 programs in literature, economics, management, law, engineering, science, education and art for bachelor, master and doctoral degrees and post-doctoral research.
Responsibilities:
In addition to the duties listed below, faculty members must adhere to the general faculty guidelines as specified by Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of the Faculty for Academic Affairs.
1. Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in cybersecurity
2.Conducting research leading to scholarly publication and providing service to the College, University, profession and the community
3. Additional responsibilities as assigned by administrative personnel (Department Chair, Dean, Provost)
Qualifications:
1. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity or closely related field., native English speaker
2. Candidates must have the ability to effectively teach courses in cybersecurity
3. More than 2 years of teaching experience in similar courses in China or overseas
4. Professional, positive, and culturally aware
5. Team-player and able to learn from working
PREFERRED:
1.Demonstrated professional experience in the field of cybersecurity is strongly desired
2.An established record of publishing empirical research in peer reviewed academic journals or a demonstrated potential to do so is also preferred
3. Assistant/Associate Professor preferred
