Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) is a major internationalized university in South China for its global-minded faculty/students and its research on international languages, literature, culture, trade and strategic studies. The University serves nearly 20,000 full-time undergraduate students, nearly 5,000 graduate students and over 30,000 international and continuing-education students. The University has 22 faculties offering 67 programs in literature, economics, management, law, engineering, science, education and art for bachelor, master and doctoral degrees and post-doctoral research.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver high-quality courses in mathematics and statistics at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
2. 10 periods per week class hours;
3. Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students in the school.
4. Participate in curriculum development and assessment activities to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of the programs.
5. Collaborate with colleagues within the school and across other departments on interdisciplinary projects.
6. Assist in the recruitment and admission of students to the mathematics and statistics programs.
7. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic growth and well-being of students.
8. Perform any other duties as assigned by the department or school leadership.
Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
2. Demonstrated expertise in a specialized area of mathematics or statistics.
3. Strong teaching skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex mathematical concepts to students.
4. Experience in curriculum development and assessment is desirable.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a collegial academic environment.
6. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in both teaching and research activities.
