Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) is a major internationalized university in South China for its global-minded faculty/students and its research on international languages, literature, culture, trade and strategic studies. The University serves nearly 20,000 full-time undergraduate students, nearly 5,000 graduate students and over 30,000 international and continuing-education students. The University has 22 faculties offering 67 programs in literature, economics, management, law, engineering, science, education and art for bachelor, master and doctoral degrees and post-doctoral research.
We are seeking lecturer to join our department of Croatian Language. The lecturer need to undertake course for first to fourth grade students and relevant research and administrative duties. Outstanding candidates should demonstrate superior communicating skills and expertise in academic fields related to Croatian Studies.
Responsibilities:
1. Offering courses in Croatian language and literature for undergraduates, 14 periods per week class hours(40min);
2. Setting and grading assignments and examinations;
3. Collaborating with local staff to give instructions and feedback to students during essay writing;
4. Conducting research, including writing journal articles and books;
5. Other work assigned by the faculty.
Qualifications:
1. Native Croatian speaker;
2. MA or above from internationally recognized university, majored in Croatian language or literature or Croatian as Foreign Language;
3. Teaching experience in similar courses;
4. Lecturer or experience in teaching Croatian as a foreign language is preferred;
5. Professional, positive and culturally aware, good communication and interpersonal skills;
6. Team-player and strong ability to learn from working.
