Xiamen's foreign trade entities expand

Data released by Xiamen Customs on August 19th showed that Xiamen in Southeast China's Fujian Province added 5,057 new foreign trade enterprises in the first seven months of this year, up 110% year on year. Of these, 4,755 were newly established private enterprises, up 120% year on year. 
In recent years, Xiamen Customs has made continued efforts to deepen the reform to integrate multiple certificates and licenses into a single business license, accelerated the development of smart customs and continuously improved the business environment at ports.

Currently, the filing procedures for customs declaration entities can be completed entirely online. When registering as business entities, enterprises need only select the relevant customs filing options, which allow the customs system to automatically retrieve shared data and carry out intelligent reviews. This significantly reduces institutional transaction costs for enterprises.
While continuing to optimize basic government services, Xiamen Customs has implemented targeted measures to cultivate and empower enterprises through credit management. Leveraging the China Customs Credit Management Service Platform, Xiamen Customs has precisely addressed the needs of key enterprises, established a dedicated pool of enterprises for credit cultivation and regularly provided tailored guidance on Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification.

To date, 199 enterprises in Xiamen have obtained AEO certification, representing 60.1% of the total AEO-certified enterprises in Fujian Province. These certified enterprises enjoy a range of facilitation measures, such as priority customs clearance, reduced inspection rates and cross-border credit mutual recognition, thereby effectively enhancing their international competitiveness.
Data from Xiamen Customs show that the number of existing foreign trade enterprises in Xiamen has surpassed 49,000, including 44,000 private enterprises. Of these private enterprises, 8,265 are production-oriented, while 35,760 are non-production-oriented.
