Returned Overseas Talents Gather in Huangshi to Jointly Chart a Blueprint for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

HUANGSHI, China – The "2025 Hubei Innovation and Entrepreneurship Tour for Returned Overseas Talents" was held at the Huangshi Future Science and Technology City on August 14-15. The event was jointly organized by the Hubei Overseas-educated Scholars Association, the Huangshi Municipal Committee Organization Department (Municipal Party Committee Party Building and Talent Office), and the Huangshi Municipal Committee United Front Work Department. It aimed to pool the wisdom and strength of outstanding returned overseas talents to serve local economic development and support Hubei's pivotal development strategy.

The event brought together over 40 members of an expert and doctoral delegation comprising returned overseas scholars from renowned domestic and international universities, research institutions, and tech enterprises. Nearly a hundred participants, including representatives from relevant provincial and municipal departments, venture capital institutions, and key sci-tech innovation platforms, gathered in Huangshi to discuss collaborative development.

On August 14, the expert and doctoral delegation visited the Huangshi (Wuhan) Offsite Sci-Tech Innovation Park, the Huangshi Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the Huangshi Intelligent Display Industrial Park, and the Wuhan University (Huangshi) Electronic Information Research Center. These site visits offered a firsthand look at Huangshi's "offsite" window, decoded the city's blueprint, and allowed participants to experience how the city's sci-tech parks are attracting and synergizing talent, technology, and capital through spatial innovation. The tours provided a comprehensive understanding of Huangshi's historical heritage, development achievements, and future vision.

On the morning of August 15, a project roadshow session was held at the Shared Conference Center of the Future Science and Technology City. Nine projects led by returned overseas talents, spanning cutting-edge fields such as intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new energy & new materials, and electronic information, delivered impressive presentations. These showcased innovative results and technological advantages, expressing a willingness to establish and develop their ventures in Huangshi and outlining specific cooperation needs.

During the event, officials from relevant Huangshi municipal departments provided systematic interpretations of the new talent policies, the AI-powered city construction plan, as well as the investment environment and key industrial directions. The digital ambassador "Huang Xiaochuang" highlighted the second Huangshi Future Industry Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition to the attendees, sending a strong signal of the city's eagerness for talent and its commitment to attracting outstanding individuals. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions focusing on financing matchmaking, technology transfer, industrial collaboration, and policy support, laying a solid foundation for subsequent substantive cooperation.
