The First Hebei Province Overseas Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Preliminary Round Successfully Held!

From March 22nd to 23rd, the preliminary round of The First Hebei Province Overseas Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, hosted by the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts) and organized by the Hebei (Shijiazhuang) Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Professionals, was successfully held.

This competition primarily aims to meet the needs of Hebei Province's economic and social development by vigorously introducing high-level talent teams from both home and abroad to innovate and start businesses in Hebei. It is designed to stimulate a wave of innovation and create a new entrepreneurial ecosystem of "co-creation and win-win" both domestically and internationally, supporting the high-quality development of our province. The competition covers three fields: biomedicine, equipment manufacturing, and new-generation information technology, and the organizing committee has received more than 200 applications for participation. To ensure the quality of the competition, the organizing committee has organized expert reviews to select over 100 domestic and international innovation and entrepreneurship projects to enter the preliminary round.
The preliminary round of the competition lasts for two days and is conducted in the form of "8-minute roadshow + 7-minute defense" through both online and offline methods. The judging panel experts ask questions and score according to the review rules. All participants are very well prepared, demonstrating and performing in the best condition with full enthusiasm at the preliminary round site, and actively and enthusiastically engaging in Q&A interactions with the judging experts.
During the preliminaries, 30 high-level innovation and entrepreneurship projects will be selected to advance to the finals, which will be held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, from March 27th to 28th. To ensure that all participants are in the best condition to face the finals, the organizing committee will organize expert training to provide guidance on the competition projects before the finals and to polish the content of the presentations.
The Hebei (Shijiazhuang) Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Professionals will continue to gather overseas high-tech talents, projects, resources, and international innovation elements, and pool domestic and international innovation resources to provide comprehensive project implementation services and support for the competition projects. At the same time, it will continue to promote high-quality exchanges and docking between Hebei enterprises and overseas high-quality technology, projects, and talents, and strive to attract more creative, proactive, valuable, and potential overseas talents and new entrepreneurial projects to land in Hebei.
