Doctors in Suzhou are truly trustworthy: South African mother
A South African woman suffered a sudden postpartum hemorrhage during childbirth but was successfully rescued by Suzhou medical staff. The woman currently resides in Suzhou with her husband. She became pregnant late last year and after showing signs of labor, she came to Suzhou BOE Hospital for natural delivery. However, due to multiple high-risk factors, her labor progressed poorly. With the persistent guidance of the medical team who accompanied her for two days, a healthy newborn was finally delivered. Behind the joy of welcoming a newborn lay a latent crisis. Despite early risk assessments and preventive medication administered by Dr. Long Ping, Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and her team during the woman's labor, an unexpected emergency occurred: the patient began experiencing persistent, massive hemorrhage. Dr. Long explained that the prolonged labor left the patient in an extremely weakened state, resulting in the failure of the uterus to contract sufficiently and ineffective vascular closure. This led to a life-threatening condition caused by a rapid loss of blood. "Don't be afraid. We're here!" In the delivery room, the rescue began immediately. Attending physicians Qu Fang and Wei Junmin, along with midwives, carried out the treatment methodically. Outside the delivery room, multidisciplinary specialists in anesthesia, ultrasound, and hematology rushed to the hospital upon receiving emergency dispatch orders. Thanks to well-prepared plans, blood and medications were swiftly administered. Soon after, the monitor alarms ceased, the patient's blood pressure stabilized, and her vital signs gradually returned to normal. "Doctors in Suzhou are truly trustworthy!" As the patient was out of danger, her husband burst into tears of joy. He repeatedly gave thumbs-ups to the rescue team, unable to stop expressing his gratitude. Source: 引力播 (Yinlibo app)
