In 2015, the first school belonging to the ISA International Education Group —- ISA Tianhe International School of Guangzhou (ISA Tianhe) was established in Tianhe with the approval of Guangdong Education Department. ISA Tianhe’s education system creatively fuses the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme with the UK National Curriculum standards and outcomes. Since its establishment, ISA Tianhe has always been committed to providing students with top educational resources and the best learning experience. The school has received IB PYP and IB MYP authorization, a literally IB World School. The main role of all teachers is to maximize student learning and development through the planning, preparation and teaching of the curriculum to meet students’ individual learning needs and achieve specific student outcomes. Teachers guide a range of student abilities and are accountable for the effective delivery of their curriculum. The classroom teacher engages in critical reflection in order to improve their knowledge and skills to better engage students and improve their learning.
Classroom and subject teachers assume roles beyond the classroom in endeavoring to maximize students’ learning. These roles include working collaboratively with colleagues and other members of the school community, and communicating with parents and care-givers.
The classroom and subject teacher’s contribution to the school goes beyond the classroom. They participate in the development of the school policies and programmes and assist in the implementation of school priorities. All classroom teachers may be required to undertake other duties in addition to their teaching duties.
Responsibilities:
1. Inspiring children to learn.
2. Ensuring the creativity and high quality of teaching and learning of the class, assisted by a teaching assistant.
3. Sharing responsibilities for curriculum development, display, performances, trips and organizing some aspects of special events.
4. Fostering a caring atmosphere and showing commitment to the well-being and social and academic progress of each pupil.
Qualifications:
1. University degree and a recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE, B.Ed, M.Ed);
2. High Proficiency in English;
3. Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in IBPYP curriculum, ideally with experience in an international educational setting;
4. Experience in teaching second language learners;
5. Strong knowledge and/or experience in IB PYP curriculum framework;
6. Curriculum development knowledge:
Be inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills;
Be committed to ensuring high standards of teaching and learning;
Be collaborative and able to work as part of a team.

Salary:
Negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications. The salary can be transferred to teachers’ overseas accounts.
