The Star Voyager cruise ship, carrying nearly 2,000 passengers, recently departed from the Xiamen International Cruise Center in Southeast China's Fujian Province, marking the last visiting cruise call at Xiamen Port for 2025.
According to statistics, Xiamen Port has welcomed 15 visiting cruises so far this year, with border inspection authorities facilitating nearly 30,000 inbound and outbound passengers.
The intensive schedule of visiting cruises has placed new demands on entry and exit inspection for both ships and passengers.
In response, Xiamen Port has implemented 15 targeted measures to enhance the clearance environment. These refinements — addressing specific cruise characteristics, passenger profiles, and operational support — include optimizing passenger flow routes, conducting on-board inspections, and improving multi-agency coordination.
By fully leveraging self-developed systems such as the "Data Ferry" program and the "Anxin Tong" ship-shore management platform, and by adopting differentiated clearance models like simplified entry procedures, the port has improved clearance efficiency by over 50%.
