In May, Qixia is full of the vitality of spring and brimming with vigor. On May 21st, 2025, the 6th Qixia District Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth Dragon Boat Festival Fun Sports Meeting with the theme of "Same Zongzi, Same Origin, Fragrance Spreading Across the Taiwan Strait" was held at the gymnasium of Xianlin Campus of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. The event takes traditional festivals as its carrier and, through a light and lively format, gathers the shared memories of young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, conveys the friendship between the two sides, and becomes an important platform for young people on both sides to enhance mutual understanding, deepen friendship and work together to realize their dreams.

After a series of intense and interesting competitions, the teams representing Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan youth from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Jinling Institute of Technology stood out and won the first prize. The international students' team of Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, the "Red Pomegranate" youth team of Nanjing Normal University of Special Education, and the Overseas Chinese Youth Team won the second prize, while the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth Team of Nanjing University, the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth Team of Nanjing Normal University, and the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth Team of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications won the third prize.

This event celebrates the festival through traditional sports and creative games, allowing participants to experience the charm of Chinese traditional culture through interactive experiences. Lin, a college student from Taiwan, said, "It's my first time to participate in the Dragon Boat Festival Fun Sports Meeting. I'm very happy. Not only did I make many new friends, but I also experienced the fun culture of the Dragon Boat Festival in an immersive way. I deeply realized that the cultures on both sides of the Taiwan Strait share the same roots and origins. I hope that in the future, young people on both sides can further strengthen their connections, exchange and interact, and develop together."

Next, Qixia District will further leverage the role of the "1+N" cross-strait work alliance between the university and the local area, continuously build more high-quality exchange Bridges, enhance cultural identity among young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait in the process of inheriting traditional Chinese culture, and help young people on both sides grow together.
