Hebei
Hebei（hé běi）, abbreviated as Ji, and its the capital city is Shijiazhuang. During the Warring States period, most of the land in Hebei belonged to the states of Zhao and Yan, so Hebei was also known as the land of Yan Zhao. Hebei is located between 113 ° 27 'E to 119 ° 50'E, and 36 ° 05 'N to 42 ° 40' N. It is located in northern part of China, north of the Zhanghe River, bordering the Bohai Sea to the east and circles Beijing and Tianjin inside. Terrain
The terrain of Hebei Province is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, tilting from northwest to southeast. The terrain is complex and diverse, with complete types of plateaus, mountains, hills, basins, and plains. There are three major geomorphic units: Bashang Plateau, Yanshan and Taihang mountain ranges, and Hebei Plain. The Bashang Plateau is part of the Mongolian Plateau, with a terrain that is high in the south and low in the north, with an average elevation of 1,200-1,500 meters and an area of 15,954 square kilometers, accounting for 8.5% of the total area of the province. Yanshan and Taihang Mountains, including four landforms, namely, Zhongshan Mountain, Low Mountain, Hilly Area and intermountain basin, are mostly below 2,000 meters above sea level. There are more than 10 isolated peaks above 2,000 meters, of which Xiaowutai Mountain is 2,882 meters high, being the highest peak in the province. The mountainous area covers 90,280 square kilometers, accounting for 48.1% of the total area of the province.
