More than 200 members of the CISGZ community came together to celebrate this year's Festival of Lights, transforming our campus into a vibrant celebration of culture, friendship, and belonging.
A Day of Learning and Creativity
The festivities began with elementary students exploring the story and traditions behind the Festival of Lights through a special read-aloud session. During breaks, students visited the diya (tea-light) decorating station and henna art station, both lovingly organized and run by parents from our community.

These activities offered our students a meaningful opportunity to learn about Indian culture through hands-on experiences, while bringing everyone together in a spirit of service, curiosity and celebration.
An Evening Community Feast
As the evening began, the CISGZ community gathered for a spectacular feast. Families arrived carrying dishes to share, creating tables filled with flavors and traditions from around the world.

The celebration was enriched by student performances, singalongs, cultural dances, and festive entertainment that had the audience clapping, singing, and celebrating together. Every performance reflected the confidence, talent, and enthusiasm of our students and parents, who helped make the evening truly memorable.
Celebrating the Diversity of CISGZ
One of the most powerful moments of the evening was simply looking around the room. At CISGZ, we are privileged to be part of a diverse international community, and the Festival of Lights beautifully showcased that strength. People from different cultures, languages, faiths, and backgrounds came together for a common purpose: to celebrate, connect, and learn from one another. It was a wonderful reminder that our world is multicultural, interconnected, and made richer by the traditions we share.

Honored Guests and Community Support
We were especially honored to welcome Mr. Gince Mattam, Consul General of India from the Consulate General of India, whose presence added special significance to the celebration. Their support helped strengthen the spirit of cultural exchange and international friendship that lies at the heart of our school community.

A special thank you also goes to Rangoli Indian Restaurant for generously sponsoring our lucky draw prizes and helping make the evening even more exciting for families.

Thank You, CISGZ
Events like these are only possible because of the people who make up our extraordinary community. Thank you to our students for their wonderful performances, to the parents who generously sponsored, prepared, and shared food, to the volunteers who organized the activities and festivities, and to every family who joined us in celebration. Together, you created an evening filled with warmth, laughter, delicious food, and lasting memories. The Festival of Lights was more than an event. It was a beautiful reflection of who we are at CISGZ: a community that celebrates diversity, embraces cultures, and shines brightest when we come together.
