Recently, Beijing officially unveiled its 2025 "Nighttime Beijing" (夜京城) highlights, featuring 25 landmark destinations, 84 night-visit spots, and 30 lifestyle zones, vividly outlining a fresh new picture of Beijing's nighttime economy.
The 25 landmark destinations fall into three major categories: commercial districts, cultural and tourist attractions, and integrated destinations.
The commercial landmarks include iconic areas such as the Beijing CBD, Qianmen Street, and Wangfujing. The cultural and tourist landmarks transform historical and folk culture into immersive nighttime entertainment experiences, represented by the Tianqiao Performing Arts Zone, Shichahai - Di'anmen Outer Area, and Longfu Temple Cultural Block. Meanwhile, the integrated landmarks feature city nightscapes and signature architecture, combined with culture, entertainment, dining, and retail.
A total of 84 night-visit hotspots have been selected for 2025, spanning six categories.
Urban Parks
Enjoy the gentle blend of Kunqu opera and ancient architecture at Jingxin Studio night tour in Beihai Park; explore markets and films during the "Ferris Wheel Night" at Longtan Zhonghu Park; admire the waterfront arts festival along the Fengtai Liangshui River or the dazzling water-and-light show at Wenyu River Park to experience the charm of the city after dark.
Cultural and Tourist Attractions
The Beijing Chaoyang Gourmet Sightseeing Bus offers a new consumption model combining culture, cuisine, and transportation, allowing passengers to explore the city's nightscape while dining. At the Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block, night views, cultural performances, and themed markets come together to create a fresh nighttime experience. In Yongning Ancient Town, the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Night Talks" program and themed markets recreate scenes such as traditional Ming-dynasty market-opening rituals.
Commercial Districts
Destinations such as Sanlitun T+Mall, The Box | Youth Energy Center, and Tanko boost nighttime consumption through sporting events, "night stay + night tour" experiences, and other innovative activities, unlocking a new model of trendy leisure.
Dining and Cuisine
Famous food streets like Guijie, Haoyun International Food Street, and Xiaoyun Road Food Street serve as Beijing's iconic "late-night canteens", bringing together regional Chinese delicacies and international flavors and lighting up the city's nighttime food scene.
Featured Parks
Featuring revitalized industrial heritage and integrated industrial ecosystems, these destinations include Langyuan Station, Sanlitun Courtyard No. 4, Beijing Satellite Manufacturing Factory Science Park, and Donglang Film Creativity Industry Park.
Night Markets
Night markets showcasing "local vibes, cultural authenticity, and diverse experiences" include Panjiayuan Flea Market and the Guangyang North Night Market at Riverside Forest Park.
Compared with last year, the number of lifestyle zones has expanded to 30 and covers 14 districts.
These include the Chongwai Street West Lifestyle Zone, Andingmen Old Beijing Hutong Lifestyle Zone , Olympic Village North 15-Minute Life Circle , Tayuan Commercial and Cultural Lifestyle Circle, and Guotai Lifestyle Circle.
