International Talent Health Lecture Successfully Held: Unlocking the Power of Nutrition

On June 5th, to address the health needs of international professionals in Beijing and promote science-based nutrition practices, the Department of Foreign Talent Research (Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security), the Beijing Overseas Talent Center, and Beijing United Family Hospital jointly hosted a health lecture titled “Smart Nutrition”.
The event's keynote speaker, Dr. Dorothy Dexter, a senior family physician with dual qualifications in medicine and nutrition from United Family Healthcare, presented groundbreaking insights on contemporary nutrition science to an audience of over 20 foreign professionals from diverse countries, including Germany, Russia, Mexico, Pakistan, Romania, Malaysia, Algeria, and Trinidad and Tobago. 
Dr. Dorothy Dexter delivered an insightful lecture integrating cutting-edge global nutrition concepts. The session focused on common health challenges faced by international professionals, particularly addressing pain points like "cross-cultural dietary adaptation" and "nutritional support for high-intensity work environments."
Dr. Dexter provided an in-depth analysis of the science of brain nutrition, the differing impacts of whole foods versus processed foods, and shared practical strategies such as:
Dietary adjustments to enhance cognitive function
The "4-7-8" breathing technique to reduce stress
Lifestyle tweaks to prevent brain fog and boost mental wellness
The interactive segment featured health assessments using professional equipment, offering participants personalized reports on body fat percentage, muscle mass, and other key metrics. During the networking session, attendees engaged in lively discussions on topics like "family meal planning for optimal health" and "nutrition strategies for active lifestyles."
Following the lecture, organizers arranged an exclusive tour of Beijing United Family Hospital for international attendees, showcasing its internationally medical environment, advanced equipment, and multilingual healthcare services. Participants praised the event, noting they gained not only practical health knowledge but also a deeper understanding of premium medical care. Many expressed strong interest in attending similar exchange programs in the future, highlighting the value of such initiatives for the expatriate community.
