"Chinese Opera Special Concert" opened at the Music Hall of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on April 10.
Anna Shatilova, a Ukrainian student, performed an excerpt Who is the Twilight of Dawn in My Life from Chinese opera Song of Youth.
"Modern Chinese opera blends traditions with innovations. I feel that performing Chinese opera expands my worldview. Singing Chinese arias is quite challenging, but I like the complexity. I want to dive deeper into Chinese music and Chinese culture," said Shatilova.
