Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory to reopen soon (with ticket giveaway)

The renovated and upgraded Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory 苏州第一丝厂 is scheduled to open at the end of May this year.

Established in 1926, the silk factory carries a century-old cultural heritage of Suzhou's silk industries. The project includes one historically protected building, five renovated industrial structures, and five newly constructed red-brick buildings. With a total investment of 500 million yuan and a floor area of 54,000 square meters, the project will leverage industrial funds and self-led renovation to create a one-stop experiential space integrating commerce, dining, exhibitions, performances, offices, and hotels.

Notable brands confirmed for the upgraded silk factory include OWSPACE, Beijing Fashion Group, Atwell Suites Hotel, Taihu Snow Silk, LongChelle, Esee Model Management, and NBD Design Studio.

Rendering

The site will host six regular thematic activities, namely design, art, reading, theater, music, and food, along with events such as creative markets, cultural exhibitions, and community meet-ups.

Notably, Suzhou's First Cocktail Festival will take place here from May 29 (Friday) to May 31 (Sunday). Themed "Suzhou·Silk," the cocktail festival will feature nearly 70 bar brands. Each one will offer about two limited-edition silk-themed cocktails exclusive to the event, ensuring a unique tasting experience!
