You can take an self-driving taxi to the high-speed rail station and the airport in Guangzhou

Pony.ai officially launched its Robotaxi services in 4 demonstration routes in downtown Guangzhou today, allowing users to ride in self-driving vehicles between key locations in the city center and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, as well as Guangzhou South Railway Station.

The initial phase of the demonstration operation includes four routes covering five major locations:

• Round trip between Guangzhou Garden Hotel and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport
• Round trip between Canton Tower and Guangzhou South Railway Station
• Round trip between Zhujiang New Town (Xiancun Metro Station) and Guangzhou South Railway Station
• Round trip between Zhujiang New Town (Xiancun Metro Station) and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

The service is available daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7:30p.m. to 9:30p.m. Users can access the latest version of the Pony.ai App, navigate to the "Airport Transfer" or "Train Station" sections on the homepage, check specific pickup and drop-off points, and book rides.
This initiative marks a significant step in bringing autonomous driving technology to urban transportation, offering a glimpse into the future of smart mobility in Guangzhou.
