Chengdu Metro Line 13 Phase 1
and Line 30 Phase 1
are set to begin initial operation
at 10:00 on December 16, 2025.
With their launch,
the total operational mileage
of Chengdu’s rail transit
will exceed 750 kilometers,
ranking fourth across China.
The Line 13 Phase 1 project
includes 21 metro stations in total
and allows transfer to nine other lines.
The line precisely connects cultural tourism landmarks such as Qingyang Taoist Temple and Du Fu Thatched Cottage, medical resources like West China Hospital, and academic institutions including Sichuan University and Sichuan Normal University. It serves as a “multifunctional artery” that integrates commuting, cultural tourism, medical care, and education.
The Line 30 Phase 1 project
includes 24 metro stations in total
and allows transfer to six other lines.
The line connects major industrial areas, such as Bailuwan Science & Technology Ecopark, Tianfu Software Park, and Financial City, forming a seamless transport system integrating “aviation, metro, and railway”.
The two new lines add 15 transfer stations in total.
They have established an efficient connectivity network
that is set to effectively increase urban travel efficiency.
The detailed first and last train schedules for the two new lines are as follows.
Line 13 Phase 1
The one-way journey takes approximately 43 minutes. The first train from Wayaotan Station departs at 06:10 and the last train departs at 23:00. The first train from Long’an Station departs at 06:10 and the last train departs at 22:50.
Line 30 Phase 1

Currently,
Chengdu’s rail transit system covers 34% of commutes within an 800-meter radius,
with an average daily passenger volume exceeding 6.15 million trips.
Following the addition of the two new lines,
the total number of stations across the metro network will reach 489,
while the number of transfer stations will rise to 80.
This addition will further expand the network’s coverage and boost passenger traffic.
