National-Level Tourist Attractions

In 2023, Nanjing carried out quality upgrades of its tourist attractions to promote the creation of national-level tourist attractions, providing guidance to tourist attractions that wished to apply for special provincial-level funds for the development of tourism. Xuanwu Lake Park passed the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s quality assessment for AAAAA-rated tourist attractions, and the Meishan Iron and Steel Industrial Cultural Tourism Zone and Jinniu Lake Wild Animal Kingdom were included on the list of upcoming national AAAA-rated tourist attractions. As of the end of 2023, there were 52 national-level attractions in Nanjing, including two with an AAAAA rating, 29 with an AAAA rating, 19 with an AAA rating, and two with an AA rating.
