Smart Banking Store Launched at Tianfu International Airport

The Smart Banking Experience Store for Payment Facilitation was recently inaugurated at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, further enhancing financial services within the terminal. In addition to foreign currency exchange, transfer and remittance, cash deposit and withdrawal, and other basic banking services, tourists visiting the experience store on-site can access innovative, smart, and interactive financial services driven by technology.

Situated behind Check-in Area F in Terminal 2 of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, the newly inaugurated Smart Banking Experience Store for Payment Facilitation was established by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). The store allows visitors to complete rapid exchange of 14 foreign currencies, including US dollar, euro, and other major global currencies, within mere three minutes. Additionally, the AI-powered digital robots in the store provide comprehensive financial consultation services, while a cultural display wall is set up to exhibit Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, Chunxi Road, Chengdu Financial City Twin Towers, Dujiangyan Irrigation System, and other cultural tourism landmarks. They seamlessly integrate financial services with cultural tourism.

Beyond the smart financial services provided by ICBC, the Bank of China and Agricultural Bank of China have established payment service centers in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, respectively. Ctrip further enhances traveler convenience with three service points for foreign currency exchange in Terminal 1’s Departures Hall, Arrivals Hall, and near Gate 117 in the International Pre-Boarding Area.

Furthermore, nine tax refund stores are available for departing travelers in the airport. More stores are expected to provide departure tax refund services in the future.
