Finnish creator Rebekka Mikkola returns to Beijing in 2026, embarking on an in-depth urban experience with her companions. Her journey begins at a Peking Opera stage, where she feels the rhythm and intensity of this traditional art form, then ventures into hutongs to discover authentic flavors of Beijing. Dressed in Hanfu, she immerses herself in a royal banquet experience, embracing the ceremonial elegance of traditional dining. Moving between alleyways and dining tables, she witnesses the city's daily life unfold in real time. Though Beijing is not unfamiliar to her, each visit reveals new layers—familiar yet ever-evolving.
