A food festival themed "Flavor Guangzhou, Savor the National Games" reached a culinary milestone with the launch of the 2025 Asian Landmark Cuisine List during the Guangzhou Asian Food Festival. This year's edition, focused on integrating gastronomy, sports, and culture, highlights Guangzhou's role as a bridge between traditional flavors and modern innovation ahead of the 15th National Games.

The prestigious list honors 31 iconic eateries across China, Malaysia, Thailand, India, and beyond, celebrating dishes like Dian Dou De's signature Steamed Red Cargo Rice Noodle Roll and Wisca's acclaimed Pepper-Salt King Prawn. A groundbreaking star promotion system was introduced this year, allowing perennial honorees to earn one- or two-star ratings based on quality consistency and innovation, thereby incentivizing culinary excellence.
