Prepare the following documents
1.The foreign passport used for entry.
2.The original copy of an overseas driver's license and its Chinese translation document issued by a translation agency or a notary agency.
3.Two 1-inch color photos taken against a white background.
Pay the license fee of CNY 10 and wait for about 10 minutes to receive the temporary motor vehicle driving permit.
Notice
1.Validity period of a temporary driving permit: Any foreign motor vehicle driver staying temporarily in China for no more than three months can apply for a temporary driving permit valid for three months. If the stay period exceeds three months, the validity period of the permit can be extended to one year.
2.Temporary driving permit is for rented small car (C1) or small automatic car (C2) only.
3.Each temporary motor vehicle driving permit shall be used together with the overseas motor vehicle driving license and its corresponding Chinese translation.
