International Young Sci-Tech Talent Exchange and Inspection Tour in Hunan and Hubei Concludes Successfully

From July 1 to 5, the International Young Sci-Tech Talent exchange and inspection tour, held in Hunan and Hubei provinces, was successfully concluded. The event was jointly organized by the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel (CAIEP), the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province, and the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province. It was undertaken by the Shenzhen International Talent Exchange Centre, the Hunan International Exchange and Cooperation Center for Talent and Intellectual Resources, and the Hubei Center for International Science and Technology Exchange, with participation from the China-Europe Green Technology and Industry Alliance.

The event aimed to promote international exchange and cooperation among sci-tech talents and to advance sci-tech innovation and development. It attracted 16 young overseas sci-tech talent representatives from countries and regions including the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Australia.

During their stay in Hunan, the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province briefed the delegation on the province's sci-tech innovation cooperation and international talent exchange initiatives. Members of the China-Europe Green Technology and Industry Alliance shared their respective experiences and engaged in discussions with 10 key provincial universities, research institutions, and innovative enterprises regarding disciplinary development, research strengths, and talent recruitment and cultivation.

In Hubei, the delegation attended the 2025 Hubei International Technology Exchange Conference and held discussions with the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province and 14 key provincial universities and research institutions. The talks focused on topics such as the transformation of scientific research achievements, the innovation and entrepreneurship environment, and talent policies in Hubei, providing a comprehensive understanding of the province's strengths in scientific research innovation and talent cultivation. Throughout the tour, the delegation conducted field inspections at selected institutions in both Hunan and Hubei.
Using Hunan and Hubei as representative examples, this activity provided a significant platform for overseas talents to gain an in-depth understanding of China's regional sci-tech innovation environment, industrial development advantages, and talent cultivation policies through field visits and interactive exchanges. It laid a solid foundation for further promoting cooperation opportunities in China for international young sci-tech talents.
