Registration for This Half Marathon to Open on March 12

The 2026 Beijing Daxing Half Marathon and the 10th "Huahui Beijing, Yuepao Daxing" (花绘北京悦跑大兴) Half Marathon will kick off at 7:30 on May 17 in Weishanzhuang Town , Daxing District. Registration for the event will officially open at 10:00 on March 12 and close at 18:00 on March 18. This year's race will allow registrants to "participate in a lottery first and pay later". Runners can register on the Shuzi Xindong (数字心动) app, an official platform of the Chinese Athletics Association.

The route is centered around a 38,000-mu-large (about 2,533 hectares) forest, with participants going through picturesque villages such as Weizhuang and Banbidian. They will also pass through several tourist attractions including the Beijing Chinese Rose Culture Industrial Park and the China Old Roses Garden .

Since its launch in 2016, the half marathon has attracted tens of thousands of runners and repeatedly been recognized as one of Beijing's Top 10 Sports Tourism Events and Beijing's Premium Sports Tourism Projects, becoming a distinctive eco-themed road running event in the city.

As one of the most influential road races in southern Beijing, the event will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year with special commemorative medals, themed photo-taking spots, and a series of celebratory activities. Runners will enjoy the fragrance of blooming flowers along the course while experiencing the unique charm of "New Daxing, the New Gateway to the Capital".

Two additional challenge races are scheduled specifically for this marathon, namely the University Challenge, which targets full-time undergraduate and graduate university students, and the Haidian High-Tech Enterprise Challenge, which is for the runners working for the enterprises recognized as "high-tech companies" and registered in Haidian District. Those registering for any of these races must meet all the competition regulations and will be qualified for participation through the same lot-drawing or waitlist process as other participants.
