The Chengdu 2026 International Illustration Fair kicked off today and will run through August 9. Jointly presented by hosts from China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) in partnership with the ROK’s K-Illustration Fair, the fair brings together leading illustrators in Chengdu, including numerous local artists from Sichuan and Chongqing. From traditional Chinese ink paintings to trendy cartoons, and from picture books to interdisciplinary cultural and creative collaborations, the fair offers an immersive artistic experience that goes far beyond mere viewing.

Numerous active ROK illustrators will appear at the fair, while well-known Chinese artists in CG, traditional Chinese style, picture books, and popular IPs will be present for face-to-face exchanges. Whether visitors are professional creators seeking inspiration or art enthusiasts looking for visual delight, they will find artworks here that will hold their attention.

This year, the 7th GGAC Awards, known as the “CG Art Oscars”, will come to Chengdu International Illustration Fair. Industry leaders will be present to share their creative journeys and cutting-edge insights, release the latest competition updates, showcase previous outstanding GGAC-winning works, and explore the stories of everyday life through the lens of illustration.
