Consular Officials Seek New Cooperation Opportunities in Jinniu

On November 26, 2025, the Consular Officials’ Discovering Tour to Districts (County-Level Cities) and Counties—Approaching Jinniu was held successfully. Jointly hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Chengdu Municipality and the People’s Government of Jinniu District, the event invited consuls general and consular officials of foreign consulates in Chengdu and Chongqing, representatives of international chambers of commerce in Chengdu, and representatives of Hong Kong and Macao institutions in Chengdu to visit Jinniu District and seek new opportunities for exchanges and cooperation.


Participants included Consul General of Austria in Chengdu Günther Lazelsberger, Consul General of Pakistan in Chengdu Tanvir Ahmad Bhatti, Consul General of Brazil in Chengdu Almir Lima Nascimento, Consul General of Canada in Chongqing Eva Yi-Hua Yu, Acting Consul General of Australia in Chengdu Paul Salisbury, consular officials of Thailand in Chengdu, and consular officials of Myanmar in Chongqing. Other participants included representatives of chambers of commerce of the US, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Australia, and Chile in Chengdu, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Chengdu of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Chengdu Representative Office of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute of Macao, among other institutions.


The delegation visited the CREC Industrial Park, Jinniu District AI Digital Chuangzhiyuan Industrial Park, and Jinqin Old Teahouse.


At the CREC Industrial Park, the delegation witnessed the seamless collaboration between rail transit and robots, as well as cutting-edge achievements in global energy exploitation enabled by “digital and intelligent technologies”. The delegation members remarked that the park has showcased not only rail transit equipment but also a comprehensive smart city solution.



At Jinniu District AI Digital Chuangzhiyuan Industrial Park, the delegation noted that the park not only focuses on advanced technological R&D but also emphasizes the deep integration of technology with the real economy. They expressed interest in exploring in-depth collaboration with enterprises in the park in smart education, green technology, and other areas.



At the final stop of the visit, the delegation visited the historically rich Jinqin Old Teahouse, where they immersed themselves in the aesthetics of everyday urban life in a park city.

The success of the event has not only established a bridge for exchanges between Chengdu and the international community but also laid a robust foundation for deepening cooperation across various sectors in the future. The delegation members unanimously expressed their commitment to actively serving as a bridge to facilitate the alignment of more international resources with Chengdu and contribute to mutual benefit, win-win outcomes, and shared development.
