For example, it has seven “double first-class universities,” which refer to world-class universities with first-class disciplines. According to “2024 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects,” from Shanghai Ranking, the city has covered 58 academic subjects enlisted to the world’s top 100 disciplines from its nine universities, showing markable progress in the education sector.
