Starting Dec 1, 2025, the Lingyin–Feilai Peak (Feilai Feng) Scenic Area, one of Hangzhou’s signature attractions, including Lingyin Temple, Yongfu Temple, and Taoguang Temple, will offer free admission. In the past, visiting all four attractions cost 75 yuan (about 10.55 dollars), but starting December, it’s completely free!
The site will adopt a reservation system with timed entry. Reservations are available in two time slots:
Morning: 7:30–12:00
Afternoon: 12:00–17:00
Visitors can book through the “ Hangzhou Lingyin-Feilai Peak (杭州灵隐飞来峰)” mini program on Alipay or WeChat and admission requires verification with the original valid ID documents used for booking.
Reservations shall be made at least one day in advance and can be booked for up to seven days ahead.

A brief introduction to scenic spots of
Lingyin–Feilai Peak Scenic Area
1 Lingyin Temple 灵隐寺
Built in the year 326 CE and located at the north-west of the West Lake at Hangzhou, Lingyin Temple is one of the oldest and most significant ancient Buddhist temple of China. As the largest of several temples in Hangzhou's Wulin Mountains, with its the long history and charming scenery, Lingyin Temple attracts thousands of visitors and Buddhists every day.
2 Feilai Peak (Feilai Feng) 飞来峰
Feilai Peak is a rugged limestone hill located just in front of Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, whose wild rock formations set it apart from the surrounding mountains. It is renowned for its more than 380 Buddhist grotto statues carved between the 10th and 14th centuries, spanning the Five Dynasties, Song, Yuan, and Ming dynasties.
3 Yongfu Temple 永福寺
Also founded in 326 CE during the Eastern Jin dynasty, the temple complex rises along the mountain slope with a harmonious layout. During the Northern Song dynasty, the walls of the abbot’s quarters at Yongfu Temple were adorned with inscriptions and bamboo paintings by notable figures such as Su Shi and Qin Shaoyou.
4 Taoguang Temple 韬光寺
Taoguang Temple was founded in the Changqing period (821 to 824 CE). In the 45th year of the Kangxi reign in the Qing dynasty, the temple added the Sea-Viewing Pavilion at its prime location, offering a scenic view of the Qiantang River.
