According to the Shanghai Public Transportation Card Co., Ltd., the transportation card under the Jiushi Group has achieved interoperability (trial operation) with urban buses in Suzhou, Changzhou, and Kunshan, further advancing the integrated transportation development in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Now, Shanghai residents can use the "Shanghai Public Transportation Travel Code" issued by the transportation card company. The code complies with the Ministry of Transport's standards. With it, residents can scan and ride buses within the urban areas of Suzhou, Changzhou, and Kunshan. Jiangsu Province is also accelerating system upgrades in other cities to achieve province-wide interoperability of the Ministry of Transport's QR code as soon as possible.
Currently, the travel code is supported across multiple platforms, including the Shanghai Transportation Card App, UnionPay App, and Shenhuohui App, allowing users to conveniently scan and ride via these channels.
The new feature of the travel code is based on previous achievements of connectivity with Ningbo, Jiaxing, and Taizhou. This initiative will greatly enhance the convenience of residents' cross-city travel.
Friendly reminder:
Currently, cross-city QR code scanning does not enjoy local fare discounts or transfer benefits in the destination cities.
