ROSAS DANST ROSAS, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's 1983 postmodern masterpiece, sees.four female dancers perform continuously for 100 minutes, transforming everyday gestures—sitting, standing, arm-raising—through rigorous repetition and geometric patterns.
The work is widely regarded as a feminist statement, exploring the female body, discipline, and collectivity through perseverance and exhaustion.
Beyoncé famously drew from its chair-section choreography in her 'Countdown' video.
With music by Thierry De Mey and Peter Vermeersch, this marks the work's Shanghai debut.
