Beijing Daxing Airport has expanded its language services, offering real-time translation and AI assistance to make travel easier for foreign visitors.
Beijing Daxing International Airport, together with Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), has expanded its “tri-party interpretation” service for international travelers, increasing the number of on-site service points from one to four. The service now covers key areas across the terminal, including international and domestic check-in and departure zones.
Through a dedicated communication line with BFSU, airport staff can connect directly with trained language specialists whenever interpretation support is needed. The interpreters provide real-time translation of passenger requests and airport responses, leveraging the university’s linguistic expertise to effectively meet the needs of foreign travelers.
The service currently offers real-time interpretation in eight languages: English, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, Arabic, German, and Russian. Physical service points are located at the Level-4 E-Island Passenger Service Center, Level-3 International West-Side Counters, Level-2 Central Mixed-Flow Core Area (East Side), and Level-1 Beijing Service Center. The 96158 hotline also supports the tri-party interpretation service. English interpretation is available 24/7, while the other seven languages are offered daily from 9:00 to 17:00. Since the start of this year, Daxing Airport has provided nearly 100 interpretation sessions for special inquiries from foreign passengers.
In addition, Daxing Airport has introduced an AI voice-translation device at the Beijing Service Center, enabling face-to-face, real-time speech translation. The device features multiple functional modules—including general services, transportation, payment, and culture-and-tourism assistance—to make travel smoother and more efficient for international visitors.
