School History & Governance
Yantai Huasheng International School (YHIS) is an independent, American-based curriculum, college-preparatory school serving expatriate students from age 3 through grade 12 in Yantai, China. Founded in 2016, YHIS is the first English language international school licensed by the Shandong Provincial Government in Yantai. The school enrollment has increased from 121 in 2016 to 220 in 2020. Since expatriates come at different times in the year, admissions happen on a rolling basis.

YHIS is fully accredited by AdvancED (now known as Cognia) with the following agencies: Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (“SACS CASI”) established in 1895, the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (“NCA CASI”) established in 1895, and the Northwest Accreditation Commission (“NWAC”) established in 1917. These accrediting agencies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Cognia. All of the above three agencies are recognized by the United States Department of Education.

Qualifications:

1.Has a Bachelor Degree in education.
2.Has a valid Teaching Certificate.
3.Has at least two years teaching experience.
4.Demonstrates ability to work effectively with foreign and national students with sensitivity to unique and multicultural perspectives and thoughts.
5.Demonstrates ability to plan, organize, execute, and evaluate in the classroom setting.
6.Has a good command of both English and Chinese for Chinese national staff.

Benefit:

Salary range from 11000 to 25000 RMB after income tax.
In addition, the Employer pays for the following, as well as certain other benefits/expenses:
Medical Insurance (family)
Life Insurance (Employee-$25,000 USD; Spouse-$10,000 USD; Child-$5,000 USD)
Airfare at beginning and end of this Agreement if 2 years (employee, spouse, two children)
Housing: 2-3 bedrooms
Rest and Relaxation allowance in non renewal year
K-12 Education (all children)
Chinese Income Tax

Important Additional NOTES:
1. FSMs will have radiator heating fee paid by the Employer.
2. FSMs working in China will receive a monthly per child stipend supplement.
3. FSMs working in China will receive Employer-paid round-trip airfare to and from the FSM’s home country for up to two children.
4. working permit and residence permit.
