A private family in Hong Kong seeks a dedicated Governess / Private Educator to partner with their 4-year-old child (currently attending an international kindergarten). The family is planning a multi-country education pathway — Hong Kong, the United States, and beyond — and wants a trusted professional who will both architect the child's long-term educational roadmap and personally nurture the child's daily growth.

Role Overview
A dual role combining (1) education strategy & school admissions with (2) hands-on educational companionship. This is a long-term, trust-based partnership guiding the child through kindergarten, primary school selection and applications, while building a warm, structured, intellectually rich daily environment.

Key Responsibilities
A. Education Planning & School Admissions
- Research, recommend, and maintain a long-term pathway across Hong Kong, US, and international school systems (IB / British / American curricula)
- Lead the primary-school search and application process — school selection, visits, assessments, interviews, and application materials
- Advise on timing, school fit, and strategy; stay current on admissions trends
- Act as the family's primary education contact with the kindergarten and future schools

B. Educational Companionship & Mentoring
- Design and deliver an age-appropriate daily learning & enrichment program (early literacy, numeracy, languages, STEM, arts, social-emotional development)
- Build the child's routines, habits, manners, and character
- Accompany the child to school and extracurricular activities as needed
- Identify and coordinate specialist tutors (music, sports, languages) into an integrated development plan

C. Family Education Management
- Provide regular, structured updates to parents on progress and next steps
- Coordinate the child's schedule with the household and other caregivers
- Maintain strict confidentiality and alignment with the family's values

Qualifications:

Requirements
- Native English speaker (essential)
- Deep, practical knowledge of Hong Kong, US, and international education systems, including school landscape and admissions processes
- Demonstrated experience with young children (ages 3–7) and with school applications
- Outstanding academic background; a degree in education / psychology / related field strongly preferred
- Teaching qualification or elite-school teaching experience highly valued
- Excellent, verifiable references from prior families
- Right to work in Hong Kong (or willing to relocate with visa support)
- Warm, patient, reliable, proactive, and discreet

Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency
- Existing network in Hong Kong international school admissions
- Background as a teacher, governor/governess, or admissions professional at a leading school
