• Working Hours:
08:00 - 11:30 and 14:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday

• Teaching Load:
Up to 20 teaching periods per week, with each period lasting 40 minutes. School team training and sports activities are included in the role.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities
1. PE Teaching
Develop teaching programmes based on students’ physical ability and experience. Deliver PE classes in English, with basketball as the primary focus, while also supporting rugby programmes. Responsibilities include lesson planning, teaching material preparation, classroom management, and post-class feedback.
2. School Basketball Team Development & Management
Take responsibility for establishing and developing the school basketball team, including player selection, structured training programmes, regular specialist training, and team development. Conduct after-school training to improve students’ basketball skills and competitive performance.
3. Student Development & Wellbeing
Ensure student safety during PE classes and training, promote healthy exercise habits, teamwork, and sportsmanship, and work collaboratively with Chinese PE teachers to support students’ overall development.

Qualifications:

• Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or above.
2. Native English speaker.
3. Experience teaching basketball to children and teenagers, with the ability to provide age-appropriate and differentiated instruction. Ability to support rugby instruction and teach beginners is also required. Experience coaching school teams is preferred.
4. Positive, patient, and responsible, with strong classroom management and communication skills and a genuine commitment to students’ development.
5. Good personal and professional conduct, with no criminal record or adverse employment record. Candidates must comply with school policies and teaching and management requirements.

• Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous PE teaching experience at an international or bilingual school.
2. Professional basketball or rugby coaching qualifications and relevant youth sports teaching experience.
3. Experience coaching school teams and participating in school sports competitions.
4. Strong student engagement and guidance skills.
