Job Responsibilities
1. Market Development & Strategy Implementation
Responsible for in-depth exploration and research of the Japanese market, including local industry trends, business practices and import/export policies. Formulate targeted regional sales and customer development strategies based on the company’s product advantages. Develop high-quality clients including Japanese trading companies, distributors and end manufacturers, expand sales channels, achieve assigned sales targets, and improve the company’s brand market share in Japan.
2. Full-cycle Customer Maintenance & Management
Manage the entire business process for Japanese clients, covering inquiry handling, quotation, business negotiation, contract signing, payment collection and after-sales service. Maintain core existing clients, conduct regular on-site visits in Japan to sustain stable business relationships, explore potential orders, improve customer repurchase rate and loyalty, and efficiently resolve operational problems and disputes in cooperation.
3. Order Delivery & Risk Control
Coordinate with internal departments including production, logistics and quality inspection to follow up the whole process of order production, inspection, customs declaration and shipment, ensuring on-time and high-quality order delivery. Proficient in Japan export procedures, strictly control delivery and payment risks, track account receivables, avoid bad debt losses, and ensure compliant and stable business operation.
4. Market Review & Brand Promotion
Continuously collect Japanese market dynamics, competitor information and industry policies, and deliver market analysis reports to support product optimization, pricing adjustment and sales strategy iteration. Participate in and execute Japanese industry exhibitions and business docking activities, promote corporate brand image, expand industry resources, and enhance regional brand influence in Japan.
5. Data Management & Cross-department Collaboration
Establish standardized client files and sales ledgers for the Japanese market, conduct regular performance data review, and submit periodic work summaries and development plans. Align business progress with domestic and overseas teams, coordinate and resolve operational issues, and drive steady growth of regional sales business.


Qualifications:

Job Requirements
1. Education & Language Proficiency
College degree or above; majors in Japanese, International Trade, Marketing, Business English or related fields are preferred. Hold JLPT N1 certificate with fluent listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Capable of independently conducting full-Japanese business negotiations, client communication, contract review and business document writing, and familiar with Japanese business etiquette and workplace norms. Candidates with basic English communication capability are preferred.
2. Work Experience
3-5 years of working experience in Japan-focused foreign trade sales, with complete practical experience in independent Japanese market development, key client maintenance and full-process order management. Familiar with the cooperation model of Japanese trading companies, Japan export customs clearance procedures, product certification requirements and local market rules. Candidates with mature Japanese client resources and industry channel resources are highly preferred.
3. Professional Competencies
Excellent capabilities in market analysis, customer development, business negotiation and price bargaining with strong performance orientation. Able to independently formulate and implement sales strategies for the Japanese market. Proficient in Office software, capable of independently preparing Japanese quotations, contracts, business plans and market reports. Master full-process foreign trade business knowledge, including international trade terms, settlement, tax rebates and cross-border logistics, with solid risk control awareness and capabilities.
4. Comprehensive Qualities
Strong self-motivation, pressure resistance and market development ability, with the courage to develop key clients and new markets. Flexible thinking, strong sense of responsibility, outstanding cross-department collaboration and problem-solving capabilities. Recognize corporate culture, abide by professional ethics, and have a long-term career plan for deep cultivation in the Japanese market. Able to adapt to frequent business trips and short-term on-site work in Japan.
