Job Profile:

Head of Art to lead and deliver Art & Design teaching for Chinese‑dominated secondary cohorts. Lessons are delivered in English. Covering IGCSE through A‑Level curriculum, with middle‑leadership department responsibilities.
Contract: Fixed‑term (Jan 2027 — June 2027, 6‑month temporary post)

Job Details:

Responsibilities:

- Teach IGCSE and A‑Level Art & Design with full‑English instruction for secondary Chinese students.
- Lead day‑to‑day art department operations for this short‑term contract; oversee coursework, internal assessment and exam preparation.
- Collaborate with school leadership on curriculum implementation, student progress monitoring and art‑related enrichment activities.

Qualifications:

1. Substantial hands‑on teaching experience of Cambridge iGCSE and A‑Level Art & Design, with proven exam‑group delivery experience.
2. Qualified art teacher (PGCE/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification); relevant bachelor/master degree in Art / Art & Design.
3. Able to teach fully in English; experience working with Chinese local‑student cohorts is highly preferred.
4. Department leadership / subject‑head experience: manage department workflow, assessment tracking and exam‑board compliance for Cambridge courses.
5. Safeguarding awareness, ready for child‑protection checks; eligible for Chinese work visa.
