A leading global manufacturing company within the healthcare and medical technology sector is seeking a Global Continuous Improvement Director to lead enterprise-wide Lean transformation and Continuous Improvement initiatives across its international manufacturing network. This newly created role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, organizational change, and Lean deployment across multiple manufacturing sites in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The successful candidate will partner closely with global plant leadership teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement while delivering measurable business impact in productivity, quality, cost, and operational performance.
Global Continuous Improvement Director Location: Guangdong, China Coverage: China, Singapore, Mexico & Europe Travel: Extensive International Travel
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the global Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing strategy.
Lead large-scale transformation and operational excellence programs across multiple international manufacturing sites.
Drive the implementation and sustainability of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and other CI methodologies.
Partner with manufacturing leaders globally to identify, prioritize, and execute improvement initiatives.
Build a high-performance culture through change management, capability development, and leadership coaching. Establish governance, KPIs, and best-practice standards to ensure sustainable results across all regions. Facilitate knowledge sharing and replication of successful CI initiatives throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related discipline. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (required). Proven experience as a Regional or Global Continuous Improvement / Lean Director within a multinational manufacturing organization. Demonstrated success leading Lean and Operational Excellence programs across Europe and/or North America manufacturing facilities (essential). Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, and organizational transformation. Strong track record of delivering measurable improvements in productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. Fluent English communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across different cultures and regions. Willingness and ability to travel extensively across global manufacturing sites.
Preferred
Experience within Medical Devices, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
International profile with experience working across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Foreign passport holder preferred due to the high level of international travel required.
