Pointles_ creates mischievous smart hardware and interactive content for friends, built for a global audience.
We believe the best jokes happen between friends. Being playful isn’t about offending people—it’s a social signal. Only someone close enough deserves to press that button.
We want to pull people out of meaningless virtual worlds and create real-life moments that make friends say: “Wait… this can actually do that?!”
Hating boring things is our only admission test.
We’re looking for design-minded partners who are excited about smart hardware, IP-building, and global brands. Come be the troublemaker with us.
Responsibilities:
1. Help define Pointles_ from version 0.6 to 1.0—and turn it into a real product that people can actually experience.
2. Take part in user research: explore interesting products, games, IPs, and smart hardware from around the world; dig into reviews, online communities, and meme culture for fresh ideas.
3. Help design the ways people play with Pointles_: ridiculous scenarios, mini-games, interactive experiences, collection/progression systems, AI features, and more. Think about: “Why would this make someone laugh?” and “Why would they want to share it?”
4. Turn ideas into product plans and requirements: flows, prototypes, prompts, and clear specs—and help bring them to life.
5. Bring your own frustrations, observations, and imagination about everyday life into the product. Use playful interactions to say something about relationships.
6. Contribute to product storytelling, launch content, and conversations with users—building a genuinely deeper connection with the people who use Pointles_.
7. Bonus points if you can prototype with a 3D printer, shoot and edit videos, genuinely know how to have fun, or have a well-developed talent for messing with people. Yes, we mean that.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above, in any field. Backgrounds in product, industrial design, interaction design, psychology, media, or related areas are a plus.
2. A real interest in AI, smart hardware, and games—and a willingness to tinker with new things.
3. A big imagination and an eye for everyday life. You have your own thoughts on why people laugh, share, and get hooked.
4. Strong taste and a feel for what’s current. You follow global products, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Discord, and meme culture.
5. A sense of humor—and an understanding of where the line is. You know the difference between harmless mischief among close friends and being genuinely offensive.
6. You know how to express a product in a way that hits people right where it matters. You’re open, energetic, and fun to be around.
7. Enough structured thinking to turn a fuzzy idea into a clear product proposal.
8. Curiosity, initiative, and comfort with experimentation. You don’t wait around to be told what to do.
Benefit:
1. A chance to define a brand-new category. There is no global smart-hardware brand or IP quite like this yet—and you could help give this industry its first real face.
2. Freedom to create and express. Your ideas will show up in real friendships: making people laugh, sparking payback, and becoming the kind of thing friends hold against each other forever—not sitting unused in a suggestion box.
3. A founder’s perspective, not a narrow “tool-person” role. Product, research, play design, and launch communication all move together. You’ll be involved in every step of taking a product from zero to one.
