About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Sourcing Manager with deep expertise in both knit and woven apparel and a proven track record in team leadership. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing operations, optimizing supplier relationships, and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional results in quality, cost, and speed to market.
Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Procurement • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for knit and woven apparel categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends. • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers across China, conducting rigorous factory audits and capacity assessments. • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements to achieve optimal cost-efficiency while maintaining quality standards. • Monitor raw material markets and provide strategic input on fabric innovation, sustainability initiatives, and cost forecasting. Supplier & Vendor Management • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendors and mills. • Drive supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement programs. • Resolve production, quality, and delivery issues in a timely and effective manner. Team Leadership & Development • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sourcing professionals and merchandisers. • Set clear performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and foster a collaborative, results-driven team culture. • Ensure cross-functional alignment with Merchandising, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Design teams.
Qualifications:
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field. • 8+ years of progressive experience in apparel sourcing, with a strong focus on both knit and woven garments. • 3+ years of experience in a people management or team leadership role within a sourcing office, buying office, or apparel manufacturer. • Deep knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, dyeing/finishing processes, and manufacturing techniques for knit and woven products. • Proven ability to manage supplier portfolios across multiple countries (e.g., China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia). • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Proficiency in ERP/PLM systems and MS Office; experience with data-driven decision-making is a plus. • Fluency in English is required;
