Taizhou University CSUSB College of Engineering is a non-independent legal entity Sino-foreign cooperative education institution officially approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Jointly established by Taizhou University and California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), the college will enroll its first undergraduate cohort in 2026 (total planned scale: 1,080 students).

Job Description

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses FULLY IN ENGLISH for our first cohort.

Core Teaching Courses

· General Chemistry I with Experiments (Theory Part)

· Introduction to Applied Chemistry Major

· Introduction to Modern Biotechnology

· Introduction to Environmental and Ecological Engineering

· Other foundational chemistry courses assigned by the college

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver high-quality, student-centered English lectures

· Develop course syllabi, teaching materials, assignments and exams

· Grade student work and maintain academic records

· Hold regular office hours for student consultation

· Participate in curriculum development and joint teaching research

· Cooperate with program management and academic affairs

Qualifications:

1. 1. PhD degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry or closely related fields

2. 2. At least 2 years of full-time undergraduate teaching experience at an accredited college or university

3. 3. Native English speaker (U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Ireland)

4. 4. Ability to teach foundational chemistry courses effectively in English

5. 5. Good communication, cross-cultural cooperation and teamwork skills

6. 6. Passion for teaching, patient and responsible to students

7. 7. Prior teaching or research experience in China is highly preferred

8. 8. Abide by Chinese laws and university regulations
