Responsibilities:

About the role

This role involves teaching MYP Language and Literature in a dynamic international school setting, helping students develop strong reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills through inquiry-based learning. The teacher is expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the MYP framework, foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, and work closely with colleagues to support students’ academic and personal growth.

• Teach English Language and Literature to students in secondary education, utilizing the MYP and DP curriculum to deliver engaging and effective lessons
• Plan and prepare lessons, assessments, and learning materials in line with curriculum requirements
• Mark and evaluate student work, and write clear and accurate report comments
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and ongoing improvement
• Assess and monitor student progress, setting clear goals to support achievement and growth
• Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain clear communication with parents and caregivers
• Create a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment that promotes student development

Qualifications:

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
• Recognized teaching qualification for the relevant age group
• Minimum 3 years of secondary teaching experience
• IB MYP/DP experience preferred
• Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
• Good understanding of effective secondary teaching methods
• Culturally aware and able to work well in a cross-cultural environment
