Qianhai E-hub launches service hotline for HKers

A hotline dedicated to supporting young people from China's Hong Kong with inquiries related to entrepreneurship, employment, and daily life in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was unveiled at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (E-hub) during an event Friday.
The hotline, reachable at (0755) 333-00852, provides services in Mandarin and Cantonese daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Gary Tang, founder of Qianhai-based educational startup Airtutor, called the hotline to inquire about the eligibility for renting office space at the E-hub for one yuan per square meter, and the selection procedure for entrepreneurial teams under the policy.

“The hotline is extremely convenient for Hong Kong individuals visiting Qianhai and the mainland for the first time. After my call, the operator also offered WeChat support for following assistance,” he stated.

The event also featured a market fair showcasing products from Hong Kong entrepreneurial teams based in Qianhai.

Francis So, co-founder of Food With Benefits Co. Ltd., presented their self-developed functional food products at the fair. “We hope to provide more people access to healthy natural food at an affordable price, empowering individuals to embrace a vibrant lifestyle,” he explained.

As Qianhai’s flagship entrepreneurial platform, the E-hub has incubated 1,395 entrepreneurial teams since its establishment, including 974 from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas, with 71 maturing into national high-tech enterprises.

On the same day, the first batch of startup companies signed contracts to secured investment from the 500-million-yuan E-hub Fund, marking a significant step in the fund’s mission to support entrepreneurial projects 

with high growth potential.With an initial size of 500 million yuan (US$68.9 million), the fund targets strategic emerging sectors like artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence, and life and health technologies through direct investments and indirect investments through sub-funds.
